The talent is here. The funding isn’t.
We compete internationally as a sovereign nation, without the government funding or national-committee support most of our opponents count on. Our players give their own time and often pay for their own travel and gear just to wear the jersey.

Our youth programs work the same way. Clinics, sticks, coaching, trips to tournaments, all of it runs on community effort and donations rather than institutional budgets. When a family can’t afford it, a talented kid can drift away from the game before anyone notices.

That’s what your donation changes. It goes straight to our athletes and the programs that raise them, so our national teams keep competing and the next generation gets its shot.

A thousand years, and still on the field.
Lacrosse is the Creator’s Game. It was given to us, we shaped it into the game the world knows, and we have played it ever since, nearly a thousand years without a break. A Haudenosaunee child receives a shagbark-hickory stick at birth, keeps it for life, and is buried with it. The tradition is still alive today, carried by the same families whose players now compete internationally.

And it shows on the field. Our men have taken bronze at the last three World Championships, in 2014, 2018, and 2023, and are consistently among the top three teams in the world. In 2024, our women won bronze at the World Box Championship, the first international medal in the program’s history and they expect to be in contention for the highest honors at the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship as well. Your support is what carries a player from that first stick to a national team.

The spirit of Tewaaraton lives in the Haudenosaunee.
We gave the world lacrosse, and nearly a thousand years on, we field some of the best men’s and women’s teams anywhere. Competing at that level, and bringing up the players behind us, takes real money we raise mostly on our own. Your gift keeps both going.
